Wireless Mesh Networks

Wireless mesh networks allow for relatively inexpensive wireless coverage of small to medium areas. However, due to the multi-hop transmissions in the network, they face problems significantly more complicated than traditional wireless local area networks (e.g., routing, security, fairness, channel allocation, providing quality of service, multicast, etc.).

A relatively new wireless mesh networking company had good management and competence in solving problems in many traditional topics (e.g., routing), but lacked the expertise in the more subtle problems encountered in multi-hop wireless networks. Through long term consulting (longer than two years) many of the existing problems have been diagnosed and solved; the company is now at the top of its market segment.
