Steelmill NOx Prediction

As part of its operating permitting, the NOx concentration level produced by the new melt process at a large steelmill was needed.  Using operating and design data, the process was modeled and predicted to be 8 ppm NOx.  After the plant startup, the operating NOx concentration was measured to be 7.8 - 8.2 ppm.
