This expert consultant assisted a major US retailer in an investigation by one of the US States related to allegations of noncompliance with price advertisement regulations. The expert provided noncompliance analysis (calculated overcharges) based on a large amount of structured data (database of actual purchases). This consultant was able to discover and quantify discounts recorded in the data that the internal IT was not aware of. The expert then developed calculation methodology and issued a report that was accepted by the state's experts.
