This expert has undertaken a wide range of project studies. One study culminated in the rationalization of stainless and alloy steel plants following a merger of specialty steel companies. This required detailed consideration of the complex products and processes that could be shared among the plants. Several projects on hot strip, rod and bar and tube mills were taken through the initial concept stage to technical specification for the bidding process, followed by monitoring progress through construction and testing. This expert spent several years with a well known equipment builder, with the responsibility for including infrastructure, civils, structures and utilities with the main plant.
