Multimedia Data Mining

Data mining has been traditionally applied to well-structured data. With the explosion of multimedia data - videos, audios, images and web pages, many researchers have felt the need for data mining methods to deal with unstructured data in recent years. This report provides an overview of data mining efforts aimed at multimedia data. We identify examples of pattern discovery models that have been addressed by different researchers and provide an overview of such methods.
