There was a need in the market for an oil based coalescent and the specific product needed to be registered for use in the US, Canada, and Australia. This expert consultant completed the PMN (Pre-Manufacture Notice) for the US Environmental Protection Agency, the NSN (New Substance Notification) for Canada and the New substance registration for Australia for the product. The requirements for each registration vary in some aspects, but most information required is universal. The substance identification, physical properties, toxicology and process to manufacture are universally required and were included on all registrations. There are also required some ecotoxicity as well as environmental impact information which is provided if available. This consultant was in regular contact with the governing bodies throughout the process for consultation and to provide additional information, if requested.

Upon the conclusion of the registration period, usually from 90-120 days, this consultant coordinated with the manufacturing facility or importing country to commence the production or import of the product. When the product was first manufactured or imported, after the conclusion of the registration period, an additional form was submitted to the proper authorities to complete the registration of the product on the industrial product registry so that the product could be sold for commercial purposes in the specific country.
