Was responsible for specifying equipment requirements to meet new manufacturing processes, obtaining quotations, raising purchase requisitions, maintain progress of suppliers to meet production deadlines, run-off of new equipment in vendor’s plants, final installation, commissioning, operator training and adherence/maintenance of Quality Standards. Equipment was purchased locally, within Europe and as far a field as Australia. Final role before taking early retirement was in decommissioning of plant and equipment ready for transfer to other company locations, mainly in Europe. Was also responsible for engaging and control of contractors to refurbish the buildings back to their original condition.
