Was coordinator for Human Performance Evaluation System Program and Generic Safety Issues Duties included investigation, evaluation and reporting of human performance related accidents and other events. Was responsible for monitoring generic safety issues and unresolved safety issues. Was Safety Engineer in the Independent Safety Engineering Group, responsible for overseeing the operation of the plant from a technical safety basis. Performed safety system functional inspections, reviewed design basis changes, monitored operations and maintenance activities, performed technical investigations and provided written reports to management. Was Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for the quality functions for procurement of plant equipment and spare parts, including seismic qualification of these components. Specific responsibilities included quality program development, lead auditor for vendor and internal audits, specifying of procurement quality and seismic requirements, and developing resolution for spare parts problems. Additional responsibilities included review and approval of nonconformance dispositions, technical procurement/seismic specifications, and plant modification documents.

Served in a variety of engineering and construction management positions at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. These functions included: Construction Procurement, Contract Administration and Quality Assurance/Quality Control. Was Construction Buyer responsible for writing and awarding construction contracts and amendments, including negotiation of changes and interface with all elements of the project organization (contractors and project legal staff). Supervised buyer clerks and claim technicians. Also responsible for analysis, negotiation and resolution of construction claims. Was Contract Administrator responsible for daily administration of construction progress, coordination, and scheduling, budget, contractor progress payments and time/material payments. Supervisor/leader of a construction team including an engineer, scheduler, QA engineer and QC inspector. Was Quality Assurance/Quality Control Engineer responsible for writing inspection procedures, reviewing and approving contractor quality procedures, and performing audits of contractors and vendors. Performed first line inspections of civil and piping installations. Certified as an ANSI Level II Civil and Level II Piping Inspector.
