Developed neural network-based power controllers using neural network chips and a parallel computer, and a fuzzy chip-based power controller with Westinghouse and successfully demonstrated the real-time response of the power controller. Developed new schemes for video compression in video conferencing. Developed new schemes for English and Chinese hand-written character recognition. Developed a neural/fuzzy irrigation controller. Developed a real-time facial recognition system based on neural fuzzy techniques.
