Reviewed and directed projects on metallurgical failure analysis (due to fatigue, creep, corrosion, welding etc.), root cause analysis, mechanical properties and microstructural analysis of different components of ships, planes plus pipes, valve assemblies (different steels, K-monel, Brass, Bronze and other non-ferrous alloys) using optical microscopes, x-ray and SEM and EDS. Corrosion testing / passivation of different ferrous, CUNI and Stainless steel parts. Also carried out weld defect and alpha ferrite measurement and analysis.
