The Client

Our client is a (confidential) manufacturer of trucks that are used throughout the US for construction. They were faced with anomalies in axle performance where a few of their customers had issues of premature wear.

The Challenge

The client wanted to conduct a simulation of stresses and fatigue life of their components to pinpoint the root-cause of the failure and form design and/or process change recommendations.

The Solution

ESC's team provided detailed modeling and analysis of the components under several driving conditions. We also analyzed and predicted stresses and fatigue life.

Results

Client is satisfied with the study results and used it to answer the technical questions, and leverage it during supplier selection.
